Count your blessings

Welp. I haven't really posted recently…
School and life have been CARAZY!
...and I don't really know what to blog about…But…
Fun fact: I GOT ACCEPTED INTO BYU's GRAPHIC DESIGN PROGRAM!
So I am now officially a Graphic Design Major!
I am still pretty ecstatic about it!:)

I am LDS, (part of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints) and today in church it was amazing how everything coincided with one another. There are 3 parts to church and the topics talked
about don't always have to compliment each other, but it amazes me when they do.
And that was today!
In Sacrament meeting (the first part) people go up to the pulpit to bear their testimony(on the first sunday of the month we do this) on the gospel and almost everyone seemed to talk
about Jesus Christ. Some talked about the Atonement (his sacrifice for us) and others talked about
challenges they've had and how they overcame them with the gospel and the help of Christ, and others related stories of change. And then in Sunday school (the second hour of church) we were discussing
the story of Balaam and Balak in Numbers 22 in the Old Testament; and how we need to
listen and obey Christ and follow the commandments and teachings of the Lord. And then in Relief Society (the third block, and last hour of church) we learned and discussed about being grateful
and noticing the tender mercies of the Lord. It may not seem like they all coincide, but they do. Christ died for each of us and went through trials but always obeyed and lived righteously, we learn from Balaam and Balak that to live righteously we need to follow the commandments of the Lord and make good choices, and then we need to be grateful for the Lord's help and hand in our lives as well as notice everything He has done, so the Tender mercies. It was just amazing to relearn and think about all of these subjects.
I know in my own life I love to be able to
recognize the Lord's hand and help in my life.
Without Jesus Christ I would be nothing.
I challenge you today to write down at least 5 things you
are grateful for, and do that every day for at least a week and
see if you are happier, and kinder to those around you.
I know it works.
At least notice the tender mercies, the little things, the Lord has blessed you with.
I love you all!
I hope you have a Happy Sunday!:)

Artists

Can we just take a second a talk about how much I appreciate artists…!
I'm so impressed by what they come up with.
Their ideas are AMAZING!
Especially how every person executes it differently.
My figure drawing teacher showed us these Paintings by Jason de Graaf

Story Time!

So Super funny story…!
Y'all ready for this?
*Cue music*
Once Upon a Time…after Business Management,
a cute brunette stood up to put her coat on and prepare for the chill of the weather.
After she got her right arm through the coat sleeve, it was time for the left arm..
She didn't notice as she was extending her arm…
that an attractive male happened to be standing up from his seat at that very moment.
The next thing she knew…
or felt, was the impact of her hand hitting his face
(It wasn't hard….of what I remember…)
She quickly apologized and didn't make eye contact as she left the building.

Yup. That cute brunette=ME!
Super embarrassing but totally hilarious moment of my day!
Hope it made ya smile!

Life.

Well finals finished this past Thursday and I have been home for two days now and I LOVE it! Besides loving the fact that I'm not studying, going to class, and taking tests…..I'm loving being with my family! I honestly, hands down, have the coolest and most amazing siblings and parents EVER! They seriously are pretty awesome! If you haven't met them…you should. I just wanted to tell the world how great they are! I also wanted to say, that if you haven't been able to go to a Christmas church meeting or Christmas devotional, you really should. Today I went to one with my family, and there was a lot of beautiful music and two great talks! But another reason it was special was cause I got to hear my amazing lil sis play her violin, and my mom accompany the choir on her flute. They both are really talented! It was great and I felt so calm and peaceful. I love this time of year, it makes me stop and realize (more than usual) how blessed I am and helps me better look at the little things in life.
Life is GREAT!

PAINTING WITH YO HAIR!!!!

Have you ever had a weird desire to paint with your hair?
If not watch this video:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymKLymvwD2U

Yeah, pretty amazing right? Since the first time I saw that video I have always wanted to
*whip* my hair back and forth with paint in it! haha!
Call me crazy, but I think it's truly fantastic!
I live with some awesome girls, and it just so happens 2 of them have always had the same dream!
So my awesome hall activities leader planned an activity for us!!!
Here are some pics:

 {The process}
{Some of my attractive hall mates}
 {My hair…I decided if I ever dye it, it'll be blue;)}

 {This picture>>>> (Katie is a great photo-bomber)}
{A "stamp" I made with my hair!!!}

So I feel like I should warn anyone who does this activity, that the paint takes a few washes to come out, especially if you have blonde hair….you can ask Katie :P
But it was a blast and every girl and boy with long hair should try it!!!:)
