This is my tie skirt and my officially completed tie clutch!!!!! I wore it to church today and was super cute! One picture I am wearing a belt with the skirt and the other one is without. I even bound the skirt with the skinny part of the ties! My mom and gramma were nice enough to help me make it especially with the invisible zipper! :) If you want to know more on how I made it, just let me know! :) Oh, by the way, my necklace is a bracelet on a chain and then I tied a ribbon on it. I had so much fun with making it all!!!!!!

Love it!! You are sooooo talented and so amazing. Great job on the talk too. I missed you in YW
ReplyDeleteHi, I saw this on Pinterest and pinned it. I notice you say if anyone is interested in knowing more to contact you. I would really really like to know if I can get the pattern you used or made for the Tie Skirt. That is the neatest, cutest idea I have seen thus far for ties. You did a really great job on it as well!
ReplyDeleteYW - Young Women??? I only know that from church, so I was wondering if you are LDS! Anyway, thanks for the pics and your time. Those are really cute ideas you have! Keep up the great work!
Trisha
Hi Trisha! I actually didn't use a pattern when I made the skirt....I just undid the factory stitching on the back of the ties, then sewed the ties right sides together on the crease. Then once I had enough ties to fit (Which was trial and error) I sewed on the zipper and then slip-stiched all the ties back together. My mom and I were discussing that if you just sewed the ties right sides together at the beginning, then it would take less time. And thank you so much! And yes I am LDS :) My email is krazykoolkia@gmail.com if you want to contact me and we can talk more in depth.
